Executive Administrative Manager
Michael LaClair joined Cascadia in 2015. A native of Syracuse, New York, he earned a BA in both Communications and English at St. John Fisher College and started his career as a technical writer with a market research firm in Rochester. Michael worked in corporate events during the dot-com boom in San Francisco and, upon moving to Portland, focused his efforts first on higher education administration and then on gay men’s health and wellness. It was his work in public health that gave Michael a strong sense of purpose and passion for community work, and it was a natural step for him to continue his non-profit career in community mental health at Cascadia.
Outside of work, Michael is known for his love of Kate Bush, donuts and genealogy, and regularly travels with his partner Graeme to visit their families on the East Coast and in England, respectively. He is a big advocate of glamping.
