SUMMARY:Recognizing Stigma: Harm Reduction Communities of Practice
DESCRIPTION:Harm Reduction Communities of Practice (COP)\nprovide ongoing opportunities for staff to deepen their understanding and application of harm reduction principles. These groups serve as peer-to-peer consultation spaces\, offer education on relevant skills\, and allow participants to explore the benefits and challenges of integrating harm reduction into their work. This session will be facilitated by an external addiction expert\, Paul Hunziker.\n\nAugust Topic: Recognizing Stigma\n\nAs Cascadia works towards developing a culture of harm reduction across disciplines\, we want to consider the ways stigma towards drug use\, and those with substance use disorders more broadly\, may manifest in our interactions and organizational practices. This COP will encourage participants to talk openly about how stigma shows up in our work and what we can do to disrupt harmful ideas about those we serve.\n \nAgenda:\n    1. Educational material/topic taught by facilitators\n    2. Discussion\n    3.
