This year, the Oregon Primary Care Association (OPCA) is asking a powerful question:

What would happen if community health centers disappeared in Oregon?

While the question may sound hypothetical, it reflects a very real challenge facing community health centers today. Across Oregon, Community Health Centers are experiencing funding uncertainty, evolving policy pressures, and increasing demand for care. OPCA’s 2026 campaign highlights what’s at stake if these vital health centers are unable to continue serving their communities. More than 500,000 Oregonians rely on community health centers for accessible, affordable, and comprehensive care. If those services disappear, patients and families across the state would lose a trusted source of support and connection.

At Cascadia Health, we see the impact of community-based care every day.

As part of OPCA’s National Health Center Week campaign, Claire Dufala, Senior Medical Director, shared how Cascadia’s whole-person approach helps people access the care they need. In her video, she highlights the importance of the wraparound services that make Cascadia unique, connecting primary care, mental health, addiction recovery, housing support, wellness services, and other resources so individuals can receive care that addresses the full picture of their health and well-being.
