When you or another person is experiencing a behavioral health crisis, you should have help. Someone to call, someone to respond, and somewhere to go.

Our goal is to give you as many options as possible for help after a crisis. We give support based on your own needs and life. Our multi-disciplinary team includes counselors, social workers, Peer Specialists, recovery mentors, and alcohol and drug counselors. We’ll meet you where you are and help you stabilize after a behavioral health crisis. Along with the Mobile Crisis Team, Project Respond also provides special services with different teams who are ready to provide the help you need, in the least intrusive way possible.

Multnomah County provides someone to call with its Behavioral Health Call Center and the national mental health line, 988.

Cascadia Health provides someone to respond with its mobile crisis team, Project Respond, and then somewhere to go with its Urgent Walk-in Clinic.

The heart of our Crisis Services Division, offering 24/7 support to people and their families at home and in the community. Made up of mental health and alcohol and drug counselors, the PR ED Diversion Team takes referrals from emergency department social workers at all Portland-area hospitals. The team meets people before they leave the hospital and helps them connect with outpatient care in the community.

People that have been seen by the Mobile Crisis Team can be referred to Project Belong. It gives individual and group peer support for those finding stability after a crisis. Project Belong helps people find hope, acceptance, and their place in our community.

FCSS is a short-term, community-based program that works with children, youth, and families. It uses a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to help them stabilize after a crisis and connect to ongoing support in the community. They work with youth from 5 to 20 years of age, and you can call them through the Multnomah County Crisis Line.

The PR ODHS crisis team has peer Specialists and clinicians who support individuals that are accessing services at ODHS. They provide in-the-moment support and connection to other community resources.

The Library Crisis Services (LCS) team provides free resource connection and mental health support to all library patrons within the Portland metro area.
