Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare Awarded $63,000 for Client Housing Renovations

Oregon Health Authority grants will help with upgrades at seven Cascadia facilities

Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare is set to receive seven Housing Renovation Awards totaling $63,143 from Oregon Health Authority’s Mental Health Services Housing Fund. The grants will be used for upgrades at Cascadia facilities.

“A safe, affordable and healthy place to live is a critical part of our clients’ recovery,” said Jim Hlava, Vice President of Housing for Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare. “This important funding from the Oregon Health Authority will allow us to make needed renovations to our housing facilities and strengthen our ability to address the whole health care of the people we serve.”

OHA’s Housing Renovation Awards, ranging in amounts from $6,971 to $10,000, will support work at the following Cascadia facilities in Multnomah County:

• 75th Avenue House
• Barbara Roberts East
• Barbara Roberts West
• Firefly Residential Treatment Home
• Nadine’s Place
• Pisgah Home Colony
• Rita Mae Manor

Renovation projects will include adding office and bedroom space, repairing fencing and decks, and remodeling kitchens.

Cascadia operates over 70 facilities throughout Oregon.
