Cascadia Health has released a report highlighting the growing need for behavioral health and substance use treatment in the Portland metro area.

Cascadia heard directly from community members about their experiences, insights, priorities, and ideas to improve local healthcare quality and accessibility. Three overarching community priorities emerged:

1. Improved access to behavioral healthcare including mental health, addictions, and crisis services.
2. Decreased barriers and improved access to healthcare overall.
3. A lack of affordable housing, food, and quality employment, which impacts health.
