If you or another person is having a behavioral health crisis, you have:
Community Crisis Programs
Crisis Respite
Respite programs are by referral only. You must be referred by a hospital or service provider to enter a respite program.
Crisis Respite provides short-term stability and support to individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
Respite is a community-based alternative to psychiatric hospitalization (or a step-down from higher levels of care). Respite is voluntary and works collaboratively with residents and providers to address an individual’s treatment needs, while also resolving their particular crisis.
Respite occurs in a supportive atmosphere, away from everyday stressors that may impact an individual’s sense of wellness. At Cascadia, we provide a stable home-like environment with lounge areas, three meals a day (cooked and served by staff), medication reminders and assistance, safety planning, and ongoing support and assessment of needs.
Individuals are supported in their wellness goals and recovery. They are also encouraged to maintain contact with their family, friends, and community during their treatment.
Referrals
To submit a referral to either Tigard or Rockwood Respite, please use the following information and documents. To qualify for Cascadia Respite programs, the individual must have Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) coverage through Health Share (CareOregon) or Trillium.
Once the completed packet is received (with all supplemental documents and medication orders), a decision will be made in approximately 24 hours.
