You’re More Than Enough: Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month
Each May, we come together and remember the inherent value we hold through National Mental Health Awareness Month. This year, the National Mental Health Awareness Alliance (NAMI) reminds us that we are More Than Enough. No matter your background, ability, appearance, socioeconomic status, or mental health diagnosis, you inherently deserve more than enough life, love, and healing. And no matter where you are on your mental health journey, you deserve support, resources, fulfillment, and a caring community. Learn more about NAMI’s More Than Enough campaign and share vital information and resources through social media channels.
In addition, Cascadia Health welcomes community members to explore opportunities to care for themselves and participate in wellness activities.
- Cascadia Wellness: Each of Cascadia’s four health centers has Wellness Resource Rooms with walk-in hours open to everyone. Connect with a peer wellness specialist, obtain essential supplies, find information about other community resources, or participate in a free group activity or event. Learn more about Cascadia Wellness today!
- HEART (May 8-12): HEART is a week-long celebration illuminating the intersection of women, mental health, and art! It explores challenges unique to women in our community while working to reduce the stigma of mental illness and celebrating stories of hope and resilience. Join an art class, participate in a writing workshop, listen to an exclusive interview, tune in to our storytelling panel, join us for movie night, and much more! All events are FREE!
- NAMI Walks: Come out and show your support for Team Cascadia on Sunday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m. for the Northwest’s largest mental health event, Nami Walks! Make sure to share your photos on social media using the hashtag #namiwalksthisway, and feel free to share why you’re choosing to walk for mental health.
Thank you for being part of our whole community! Showing up just as you are, is More Than Enough for yourself and the people around you.
