May is Mental Health Awareness month and art has proven to be a contributing factor to a person’s mental well-being. Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare’s Art Program started a year ago after clients collectively voiced that they wanted a way to execute their creative expressions.

For almost a year, throughout the program, clients are able to artistically foster their communications, socialization and problem solving skills. During the week in our facility, you’ll often see someone in the art room unknowingly building coping and living skills while creatively bringing their artistic vision to life. Clients are able to use art as an innovative way to process adversity while contributing to their overall wellness.

More than a dozen clients rely on Cascadia’s Art Program to help build their mental, emotional, and physical states. More so, the behavioral healthcare’s art program has contributed to client’s overall quality of life.

Mark your calendars and join us for Cascadia’s first art show in partnership with Stumptown Coffee.
