Come June, a new program partnership, Healing Hurt People, opens at Emanuel Medical Center. The cool kids at Open Meadow High School are more than halfway to their goal of raising $2000 for the new program that helps males of color who have experienced violent trauma. Please support their efforts and HHP by donating today. Thanks.
Here’s the pitch from the Open Meadow class:
We are from the Community 101 class at Open Meadow High School, a non-profit organization that educates and gives second chances to young people in Portland, OR. For us, Open Meadow is a stepping stone to success in life. Our class mission is to fund a non-profit that addresses depression and gang violence in our community. We have chosen the Healing Hurt People program of Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare. We are using Crowdrise for an online fundraiser to raise our goal of $2,000. The money we are collecting is going to be used for the launching of HHP in June. Please consider funding us—$10 makes a huge difference!
