Cascadia’s Chief Operating Officer selected for state safety taskforce
Cascadia Health’s Chief Operating Officer, Eric Sévos, has been appointed to the state of Oregon Task Force on Improving the Safety of Behavioral Healthcare Workers.
The appointment, which was made effective immediately on June 12, 2024, came out of House Bill 4002 (2024). Sévos will serve among the four employers of behavioral health workers represented on the task force.
Sévos has been instrumental in Cascadia Health’s ongoing initiatives to improve safety at its health centers and community-based spaces. Cascadia looks forward to working alongside state partners to bolster safety measures throughout the healthcare system.
Background on Eric:
Eric Sévos, LCSW, has been with Cascadia since 2003 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, he oversees the agency’s strategic plan and Federally Qualified Health Center business operations. Sévos also recommends and implements a comprehensive public policy advocacy program related to Cascadia’s workforce and scope of work, including property ownership, management, and operations. Additionally, Sévos oversees Cascadia’s development efforts, including fundraising and grants development, and the resource management department.
Previously, Sévos served as Clinical Officer, overseeing a continuum of residential and supportive housing, crisis services, and PSRB programming. He has previously overseen Cascadia’s forensic programs and homeless services and has led a variety of initiatives on behalf of the organization. Prior to Cascadia, Sévos worked in Washington County leading residential and outpatient programming, was a forensic social worker in Miami, Florida, and also worked in New York City in homeless services and with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Sévos received his Master of Social Work degree from New York University and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Arts at Boston College. He has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the state of Oregon since 2002.
